It is easily 100 times better with a controller than with the keyboard.Pros:1. Mushroom Men franchise is awesome! I would really love to see some more interesting games with this IP! Can we have a Mushroom Men MMO please?2. Impressively crisp graphics and VERY refined game play. I'm not sure I've ever seen a PC game that is so well polished.3. Interesting and engaging gameplay, though gets repetitive after a while.Cons:1. The constant chase of the Truffle Princess makes the game too challenging for me to get passed the 8th level. It also left me feeling stressed out. So I set it to easy, which removes her, and just enjoyed solving the puzzles at my own pace. Much better game that way!2. This game isn't really distinctly Mushroom Men, other than that it has Pax as the avatar and the Truffle Princess chasing you. All of the levels have clever names with puns on fungi related things, or puns relating to the area you're in...but those things never really come into play. Would be cool to see some differing mechanics as the game progresses.3. Ultimately this game was fun, but left me wanting more Mushroom Men content, and less of the puzzle solving content.SHOULD YOU BUY?: Yes. It's only $2.99 and it may encourage the studio to make more games with this IP. It's also pretty fun to play, and an amazingly polished game.. First off if you've played the other 2 games,chances are you already bought this\/are thinking of buying it. If you have,this game dosent spoil anything from the first 2. That fact aside, Pros: This game is one of the best optimised pc games ever,the graphics are phenominal,the gameplay is very solid,and the challenge level is fair. Cons:music is recyled from the spore wars and the keyboard controls are a bit confusing. All in all,if you even remotley like puzzle platformers,this should definitley be a game you should play! My score:9\/10. Great game, starts off mostly platformer. The puzzles have multiple ways to get by for the most part in the beginning of the game. Then the game quickly progresses to a harder bit more fast paced platformer with one solution puzzles. Once you master the controls (I like to use the keyboard) it's actually extremely satisfying running, jumping, pushing and pulling... Then you die. A lot. Ok, you have to learn to do all of the above pretty quickly so you don't caught by the huge beast infatuated by you. I got it half price, well worth it!. From what i've played, strangely enough, this game feels like it's a Android\/IoS App version of the Atlus Game "Catherne". Thing is, it's still more action orienated than catherine, which in my opinion is a good thing. The premise is much more funnier too. Yes, i do dislike the 3-stars rating per level thing, but seeing that Les Claypool's music is in this game as well, that makes up for it.good for a short burst gaming. Plus the cutscenes are pretty damn good in my opinion. As much as I loved the Mushroom Men game on the Wii I this game doesn't really feel like a Mushroom Men game. It feels more like a puzzle game with "Mushroom Men" just slapped on so fans of the original game will play it. Now the game feels a bit like a Catherine clone, (another game I enjoyed playing) but with much more difficult puzzles to solve. Your biggest enemy will be the jump button as there is a big delay in the jump which will lead to you falling. The lack of checkpoints also make the game frustrating if you come to a diffuclt puzzle and fail to complete it in time you have to start the level all over again. Though fun for the first few hours it gets old fast. I recommend getting the game while it is on sale.. Generic puzzle platformer with no depth to it whatsoever.
